About Us

The Apothecary in Inglewood is proud to present The Mercantile on 9th for the 3rd annual season in 2024!!

Next to our store was a vacant lot waiting for creative minds to come together and build a space for the Inglewood community. We started building our vision back in 2020 to promote small local businesses and help our eco-minded community grow. Two years later in spring of 2022, the first Mercantile market took place!

In 2023, the market space next to The Apothecary received a beautiful facelift! Three wooden pergolas, pollinator gardens, and pollinator focused paintings were added. Now, the tree lined event space which The Mercantile calls home welcomes so many other events as well as our outdoor market.

Over the last two years The Mercantile has grown into beautiful outdoor market, supporting local creators and bringing the community of Inglewood together.

The Mercantile is still growing in many ways! At the end of 2023 a new opportunity for vendors began in our shoppe, The Apothecary in Inglewood. We love our market vendors and we're proud to promote sustainable local businesses within the store as well. Currently, we have twelve artists who have previously vended with us at the Mercantile on display in the shoppe!

Vision & Values

As a team of passionate individuals, we are dedicated to creating a positive impact on the world around us.

The Mercantile showcases the works of local makers, growers, artists, and bakers with a mindful practice towards sustainability and the preservation and/or representation of the natural world.

Our market offers a platform for sustainable local artists to create and sell unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. When you visit the market, you will find a safe and inclusive space, filled with locals to support! Through the market, we hope to provide a venue to grow independent small businesses and build healthy communities.
